CQC report statement

A recent report by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has highlighted a failure by a Berkshire-based surgery to meet the high standard of customer care and hygiene demanded of them.

Local GP practices have joined other health professionals in the South Reading Clinical Commissioning Group, which is responsible for "commissioning" -- planning, designing and paying for your NHS services. This will include planned and emergency hospital care, rehabilitation, most community services and mental health and learning disability services.

As a result, NHS South Reading CCG takes such incidents very seriously and has been monitoring improvements undertaken to remedy the situation.

We can confirm that the Practice has implemented all necessary remedial action, including staff retraining, and NHS South Reading CCG will ensure that the Surgery continues to maintain its standards in the coming months.
