Dr Thava is a GP at Milman Road. Prior to this he has been a GP at the Reading Walk-in Health Centre and Pembroke Surgery.
Bu completed his medical training at the University of London in 2004 and then moved to the Oxford Deanery to complete his GP training. As part of this he has worked at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in various posts, including paediatrics, obstetrics and emergency medicine. This varied role has provided him with a unique perspective of both primary and secondary care as well as the diverse needs of the local population.
He brings this experience and skill set with him to the South Reading CCG Board, where he is the Urgent Care Lead and became Chair in October 2016.
He is also Primary Care Lead in South Reading and is involved in the IT developments in primary care.
