About us

NHS South Reading Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is a group of GP practices in South Reading, Berkshire.

From April 2013, we became responsible for planning and purchasing your local health services.  Commissioning is the process of assessing local health needs, identifying the services required to meet those needs and then buying those services from a wide range of healthcare providers, which can include hospitals, community-based services, ambulance services and a variety of voluntary and community sector organisations.

Our vision is to work with patients and partners to improve the health of our local community through innovation and evidenced best practice, within available resources.

"Our aim is to keep listening to you, working together with our partner organisations, and to deliver a service that we can all be proud to be a part of."

Dr Bu Thava, Chair of NHS South Reading CCG
